Daniel Holter General Manager & C.E.O.

Dan has been general manager of Rochester City Lines since moving to Rochester in 1981. Born and raised in Richfield, Minnesota, he grew up in the transportation industry with his parents George and Marilyn, who began Richfield Bus Company in 1959 and started RCL in August of 1966. He is an experienced and passionate hands-on advocate of free enterprise in the transportation industry. Dan has a special place in his heart for classic and vintage buses from the 1940’s to the 60’s. When he’s not driving a bus or his desk, he loves spending time with his wife Clavonne and their 5 children and working around their family hobby farm.

Joe Jacobson  Director of Business Development

Joe is a transportation industry veteran with a broad range of experience and a passion for data-driven decisions. With a keen eye for system improvement, Joe has excelled in every position he has held. During his prolific career at IKON Office Solutions, Joe consistently met multi-million dollar sales goals and became part of an elite national group tasked with improving processes of many Fortune 500 companies. His revolutionary work with the Mayo Clinic allowed them to become internally paperless in 3 years.

Joe now brings his tenacity and outstanding abilities to Rochester City Lines and Richfield Bus Company- companies he’d first worked for when he was fresh out of high school. Above all, Joe places the highest value on people as he works directly with employees to encourage and continually develop our core values- reliability, service and professionalism.

Beyond the office, Joe is a man with great faith in his loving Creator, a devoted husband to a wife of over 30 years, a caring father of an ever-growing family, and an outdoors-enthusiast who loves hunting and fishing.

Christian Holter, M.B.A.   Director of Operations & C.O.O.

Christian has worked his way up through the company as a third generation family employee. Starting in the wash bay in 2007, he has learned the ins and outs of all aspects of the business. As the director of operations, he is responsible for all day-to-day performance of business activity. While most of this work involves time at a desk, Christian knows the importance of understanding and participating on the front line, and he can occasionally be seen driving a bus or van on a private shuttle or charter trip.

Beyond the business, Christian enjoys spending time with his wife Emily and their children Claire and Graham, following the Minnesota Twins, and going on family adventures around town by electric bicycle.
